Barb James

Barb joined Williams-Manny in 1985. She has been working in the insurance industry since 1980. She is currently working toward her CPCU designation. She is licensed in Property/Casualty and Accident/Heath & Life insurance.

Janet Licht

Janet has been employed at Williams-Manny since November, 1998. Prior to joining Williams-Manny she worked in various insurance agencies in the Rockford area. She is licensed in Property/Casualty and has taken CISR and INS courses.

Jim graduated from National/Lewis University College, Evanston, Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his Masters degree from International University, Orlando, FL. He has also attended numerous insurance courses and seminars as both a participant and instructor.

Jim started his insurance career with an Independent agency in Joliet, Illinois. He started as a salesman, then a manager, and part owner. He has extensive experience on the company side of the business as well. He was a Marketing Manager for the state of Illinois with Preferred Risk for five years. He spent approximately fifteen years in various management positions with Economy Companies and their mergers with the St. Paul, and then MetLife Auto and Home. His last company position was managing the Economy Premier Assurance Company writing personal lines in six Midwest states.

Jim has been active in the community through the United Way, Martin Luther King Center, President of the Morning Star Mission Board and chaired a committee for training non-profit organizations.

Ray Olson

Ray has been in the insurance industry since 1980. He has been with Williams-Manny since June 1998. Ray received his LUTCF (Life Underwriting Training Consul Fellow) designation in 1986. He became licensed to sell securities in 1987. Ray is involved in Rock Valley Kiwanis, plays the Trombone for Kickin' Brass & is a member of the Rockford Concert Band.

Becky Shaffer

Prior to joining Williams-Manny, Becky had worked at General Casualty Insurance Company for 17 years where she was able to work with the Agency on a daily basis. She has earned her CISR designation and is licensed in Property/Casualty Insurance.

Becky resides in Freeport with her husband and 2 children. She enjoys watching her kid’s play sports and participates in dance recitals. She also enjoys camping with her family & playing golf.

Rob Snyder

Rob Snyder joined Williams-Manny Inc. in 2008 as a Personal Lines Agent.  His office is located at 700 W South Street (the former Herrling & Schmitt Insurance Agency).

Rob started his insurance career in 1996 as a multi-lines adjuster and spent over 5 years as an agent for Country Insurance & Financial Services. He received his Accident/Health & Life and Property/Casualty licenses in July of 2000. Snyder has also passed his Series 6, 63 & 65 exams for variable products.

A graduate of Freeport High School and Illinois State University, Rob resides in Freeport. His daughter, Gabrielle is the light of his life.
